Anika makes art in series in order to adequately record and support her emotional growth.  Each artwork in a series documents one of three separate steps. The first piece represents the realization that there is a problem. The second is identifying the problem, and the third piece is determining a solution to the issue at hand. The third step may require more than one piece of work.

 

Anika plays with different scales and materials used when making each series help with the steps in the process. This allows her to integrate a wide variety of approaches while creating.
